My gas oven heats but the broiler doesn't. Same problem?
Usually not. Bake and broil often use separate igniters and separate burners, so one can fail while the other works. We test each circuit and igniter draw to find which side dropped out, then check the control that switches between them.
Can you work on a slide-in range in a condo?
Yes. Slide-ins and drop-ins sit tight against cabinets, so we protect the countertop edges and pull the unit carefully. If your HOA needs a service window or gate access noted, tell us when you call us and we'll plan around it.
Is it worth repairing an older range?
Often it is, especially for sturdy gas ranges where the failure is an igniter, valve, or switch. We tell you what part failed and whether related components look worn, then you decide. No pressure either way.
Why does my oven take so long to preheat now?
On gas ovens, a weak igniter draws enough current to glow but not enough to open the gas valve quickly. On electric, a partially failed bake element or a lazy sensor does the same. Both are testable.
Do you fix induction and glass cooktops?
We service induction, radiant glass, coil, and sealed gas cooktops. Common issues are error codes, cooling fan failures, cracked glass, and dead zones from a bad generator board. Cracked glass gets replaced, not repaired.
Should I keep using the stove until you arrive?
If you smell gas, stop, shut the supply valve, and ventilate. If a burner sparks or a display flashes an error, leave it off. A single working burner elsewhere on the cooktop is generally fine to use meanwhile.
